The CSM is an open, inclusive space that welcomes the involvement, participation and input from all CSOs working in the field of food security and nutrition. The CSM seeks to involve a full range of CSOs concerned about, and affected by food insecurity and malnutrition to ensure that a wide range of views are heard by policy makers.

Join a Policy Working Group!
Policy Working Groups are a great way for you to hone in your expertise and work with other like-minded CSOs in an effort to directly influence the work of the policy makers. A list of currently active policy working groups is available here. If you are interested in becoming involved in one or more of the working groups, get in contact with the working group facilitator/coordinator and the CSM Secretariat, to be added to the mailing lists.
Get in Touch with your Coordination Committee member!
In addition to feeding your inputs into the CSM policy working groups and Secretariat, we encourage all members of the CSM to maintain contact with your respective Coordination Committee representatives, to keep up to date on CSM activities and to become more involved in advocacy/outreach work within your constituency and/or sub-region. As a reminder, the role of Coordination Committee members is to facilitate the work of CSOs within their constituencies and sub-regional groups. They perform this role by sharing information, facilitating dialogue and consultations, supporting analysis and advocacy at national and regional levels, and feeding analysis and positions into global level policy processes. For find out how to get in contact with your CC representative, see the Coordination Committee menu at the top of the homepage!
Spread the word!
If you would like to help “spread the word” on how and why to get involved in the activities of the CSM, use our “flyers” available here below in English, French and Spanish to advocate and reach out to other CSOs!

Make a Donation / Fundraise for the CSM!
The CSM relies on voluntary financial contributions from Governments and NGOs to continue supporting the participation and inputs of those most affected by food insecurity and malnutrition.
Through participation in the CSM, CSOs are able to participate in political processes relating to the CFS, have access to information, dialogue with other CSOs and develop common positions, complementary strategies and ways of working.
However, the success of individual CSOs and the CSM as whole requires the active ownership, participation and investment of all of its members. It especially requires better resourced CSOs to contribute financially to support the work of the CSM, and particularly to enable resource poor CSOs representing the people most affected by food insecurity and malnutrition to participate and have their voices heard.
In saying so, we invite all CSOs to view our funding proposal for 2012 to eventually request support from your organisations, and even lobby with your own governments!
We thank you in advance!
