From 2-6 June, the CFS will negotiate the content of the policy recommendations on strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems to achieve food security and nutrition in the context of urbanisation and rural transformation.
Input to create the first draft have been collected through the Open-Ended Working Group meetings, and written consultations. A second round of negotiations will take place in July, and the resulting document will be presented for endorsement at CFS Plenary 53 in October 2025.
The first draft is currently only available in English. Language versions will be published in the coming weeks.
