The Committee on World Food Security (CFS)’s Multi-Year Programme of Work for 2024-2027 aims to deepen the discussion among its participants on ways to enhance the impact and broaden the dissemination, ownership, and application of CFS policies. An important outcome of this initiative is the development of an Action Plan that outlines a strategic roadmap to promote the application of these policy agreements at global, regional, and national levels, alongside suggestions to increase their effectiveness.
The CFS has just published a Draft Outline of the Action Plan, compiled from discussions and submissions by the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG).
Future versions of the Action Plan will provide more detailed descriptions of each proposed action, including potential timelines and resource requirements. The CSIPM, along with the rest of CFS participants, have until Thursday 7 March to provide written feedback on the Draft Outline, which, along with insights from the next OEWG meeting, will inform the Zero Draft of the Action Plan, expected to be released on 14 April 2024.
